New lab publication on Hsc70 inhibitors regulating tau
In a collaboration with Dr. James Leahy's lab in the Department of Chemistry at USF, we characterized the properties of novel Hsc70 inhibitors. These inhibitors were based off of a prior Hsc70 inhibitor, JG-98. We found that substitutions that increase the affinity of the molecule for water may increase the efficacy of these compounds to reduce tau phosphorylation.
