Dr. Lei Wang, PhD

Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Mississippi, where she established a strong foundation in molecular and cellular biology. She subsequently completed postdoctoral training at the University of South Florida, where she gained advanced expertise in renal physiology and pathophysiology. Supported by an American Heart Association Career Development Award and an NIH R01 grant, Dr. Wang was appointed Assistant Professor and launched her independent research laboratory, which is dedicated to advancing the understanding of kidney disease and developing novel therapeutic strategies.
