In 2025, USF Health announced that Dr. Subhra Mohapatra—spouse of Dr. Shyam Mohapatra—was inducted into the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame. Her pioneering work in nanotechnology and molecular medicine includes developing a "tumor-on-a-dish" platform for personalized cancer treatment and nose-to-brain drug delivery methods for Alzheimer’s disease and traumatic brain injury.
