The Social Networks Research Center (SNRC) at the University of South Florida is pleased to announce the addition of eight new faculty affiliates whose expertise spans public health, medicine, sociology, education, anthropology, implementation science, and network analysis. The expansion marks another important milestone in the Center's continued growth as a regional and national hub for interdisciplinary social network research dedicated to advancing health and educational outcomes.
The newest affiliates include Drs. Nathan Schilaty, Michael Lozano, Jolie Haun, Thomas Valente, Chris McCarty, Kristen Zosel, Tom Smith, and Veronica Segarra. Together, these scholars bring complementary expertise that strengthens the Center's ability to investigate how social relationships, organizational structures, and community connections influence health, learning, decision-making, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
The new affiliate members reflect the SNRC's commitment to building a collaborative network of investigators who apply social network science to complex societal challenges. The Center's growing affiliate community includes experts in clinical and public health research, implementation science, medical anthropology, STEM education, and advanced quantitative methodologies. By fostering collaborations across these disciplines, the SNRC aims to accelerate discoveries that translate network science into meaningful improvements in patient care, educational success, and community well-being.
