Kristen L. Zosel, DPT, PhD

Kristen L. Zosel, PT, DPT, PhD, SCS is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Georgia Southern University. A board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist and former U.S. Army physical therapist, her research examines how social and physical environments shape health, injury risk, rehabilitation, and performance, particularly among military personnel and tactical athletes. Her work integrates social network science, musculoskeletal injury epidemiology, and rehabilitation research to better understand the social determinants of health and recovery. Dr. Zosel is committed to advancing interdisciplinary approaches that improve health, resilience, and operational readiness across diverse populations.
