Michael Lozano, MD, MSHI
Dr. Michael Lozano is a triple board-certified emergency physician with more than 30 years of experience spanning clinical practice, medical leadership, and health informatics. He serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and as Director of Research and Informatics at the Florida Center for EMS, where his work centers on translating EMS and clinical data into improved systems of care. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medical Services, and Clinical Informatics, he is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Medical Informatics Association, and the Academy of EMS. He earned his MD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of South Florida. Dr. Lozano has held numerous state and national leadership roles, including President of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians and the Florida Association of EMS Medical Directors, and continues to shape EMS research, workforce, and informatics policy through service on multiple professional committees.
