Laura Blair, PhD

Dr. Laura Blair is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of South Florida and USF Health Byrd Institute and a Research Biologist at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. She completed her PhD and postdoctoral training under the direction of the late Dr. Chad Dickey at the University of South Florida. Laura started her independent lab in 2017 at the Byrd Alzheimer's Center and Research Institute at the University of South Florida. Her lab focuses on understanding the role of molecular chaperones in neurodegenerative and psychiatric disease, with a particular emphasis on FKBP51 biology.
