Chengqiu Dai, PhD

I received my Ph.D in pharmacology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. My research focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying metabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes and MAFLD, as well as candidate drug development. In April 2026, I joined the Xu lab to study the neural mechanisms underlying survival-related behaviors. By combining my background in molecular and protein biology with neuroscience, I hope to understand how key genes and proteins regulate behavior and how brain emotional regulation influences disease progression.
