I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Biology with a concentration in Medical Biology. Here at the University of South Florida, I’ve built a strong foundation studying microbiology, molecular biology, and human disease. At present, I’m researching clinical Staphylococcus aureus isolates to uncover how its regulatory mechanisms drive virulence and pathogenicity. More broadly, my interests lie in how gene regulatory pathways and human pathogens influence health and disease.
With Dr. Xu’s lab, I aim to continue developing my research skills, knowledge, and clinical perspectives so that I may go on to contribute meaningfully to advancing public health solutions in my career.
