Qingzhuo Liu, PhD

I earned my PhD from Fudan University in 2023, where I investigated the dynamics and molecular mechanisms of synaptic transmission and plasticity using ex vivo electrophysiology, molecular and cellular approaches, and advanced fluorescence imaging. I began my postdoctoral training in Dr. Yong Xu’s lab at Baylor College of Medicine in July 2023, and transitioned with Dr. Xu to the University of South Florida. My current research focuses on the interactions between microglia and surrounding neurons in regulating metabolism and energy homeostasis. Outside of the lab, I enjoy cooking and watching movies.
