Cecile Miles

I am an undergraduate research assistant in the lab of Dr. Yuqiang Bai analyzing and processing patient data of the ocular surface through an interferometry imaging system and using a computer program to render images to investigate tear film characteristics. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Physics. Throughout my time as an undergraduate student, I have gained hands-on experience in mechanical design and data analysis, while furthering my technical skills using MATLAB and earning SolidWorks certifications. While assisting at Bai Lab, I am also certified in animal care and handling along with clinical research practices, which has allowed me to strengthen my technical and research skill set and provide me with valuable interdisciplinary experience.
