Maggie N Mott, PhD
I am a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Yuqiang Bai leading the clinical studies and basic science projects using rabbit models of dry eye disease. I received my BS in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from McNeese State University while serving as student body Vice President. I received my PhD from the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology, & Neuroscience at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport under the guidance of Dr. Nicholas Goeders. My doctoral studies focused on the sexual pharmacophysiology of methamphetamine in female rats. In graduate school, I gained animal handling and surgical skills as well as knowledge of drugs that has been helpful during my postdoctoral work. I have presented my work at, and have served as an invited speaker, panelist, moderator, and member of different committees at multiple conferences of international societies while serving multiple leadership positions throughout graduate school.
