The Nelson Lab moves to USF

Nelson lab moves to USF

We are excited to announce that the Nelson lab has moved to the University of South Florida! Dr. Nelson began her position as Associate Professor at USF on April 1, 2025. She did not move alone. Graduate students, Samantha Chaney and Evan-Angelo Butlig have transferred to the Morsani College of Medicine Biomedical Sciences PhD program. Dr. Yelitza Rodriguez moved along with the lab starting a new role as a Postdoctoral Scholar. Many boxes have been emptied and lab shelves are becoming full and organized. We are excited to be joining the vibrant neuroscience environment at USF, and to have colleagues similarly interested in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. We are grateful to be getting new equipment, including a confocal microscope for the lab. Smile! It's time to get started!
