Ameera Jamil

Ameera Jamil is a sophomore Biomedical Sciences student at the University of South Florida, a Research Coordinator at URS, and a volunteer in Dr. Amy Nelson’s lab, where she assists the team with ongoing research projects and provides general laboratory support as needed. She is particularly interested in translational medicine and gaining hands-on experience that connects laboratory discoveries to patient care. Ameera is passionate about developing her research skills, contributing to innovative biomedical studies, and mentoring peers who are beginning their research journeys.
Outside of academics and research, she enjoys playing tennis, volunteering, studying at local coffee shops, and spending quality time with friends and family.
