The Healthy Minds Lab at the University of South Florida is proud to announce its transition to the SCALE Institute for Mental Health — Systems for Clinical Advancement, Learning, and Emotional Health.
Led by Founding Director Robert M. Bossarte, PhD, the SCALE Institute builds on the Healthy Minds Lab's mission and impact by advancing scalable solutions to improve mental health outcomes across diverse populations and care settings. The new institute will focus on the development, evaluation, and implementation of interventions that improve access to and quality of care locally and nationally.
The transition reflects a broader vision for the future of mental health innovation at USF. By integrating research, clinical collaboration, and community partnerships, the SCALE Institute is positioned to become a leader in scalable, translational mental health research that serves the Tampa Bay region, the state of Florida, and national research priorities.
The institute will continue to strengthen existing collaborations and initiatives while expanding opportunities for interdisciplinary research and community engagement spanning universities, healthcare organizations, and public service systems. As part of this transition, the organization will also launch a new website and digital presence under the SCALE Institute name. Visitors can now find updates, research initiatives, partnership opportunities, and institute news at https://healthscholars.usf.edu/scaleinstitute.
