David Dillon, PhD, MPH
Dr. David Dillon is a Scientific Researcher in the Department of Emergency Medicine with extensive experience working in public health and environmental research. His expertise is in research design and methods, combining both quantitative and qualitative data with focuses on epidemiology and network analysis. Dr. Dillon utilizes these techniques to answer questions relevant to anthropology, public health, and epidemiology and translates these findings into actionable items.
Before joining USF, Dr. Dillon served as an epidemiologist at the United States Environmental Protection Agency in the Office of Research and Development. There he focused on Integrated Science Assessments examining the relationships between environmental exposures and health outcomes. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral associate researching both exposures to airborne toxicants and renal health and the results of air pollution interventions in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Dillon holds a PhD in Anthropology, an MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology, and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Florida.
