Hari H. Venkatachalam is an external affiliate of the Advancing Quality and Uniform Access through the Social Sciences (AQUASS) Research Lab at the University of South Florida. He is currently a quantitative researcher in the Research Service at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Florida, while pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Within the Department of Veterans Affairs, he leads data management and analysis on several multi-site Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and observational studies involving Veterans with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder. At UNC Chapel Hill, his doctoral research focuses on environmental exposures, including indoor radon and burn pits associated with military service. Across his roles, he brings quantitative methodological expertise to the study of healthcare access and health disparities.
