I obtained my MD degree in China, 2016 and received my Ph.D. degree from the department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at USF Morsani College of Medicine, in 2022. During my five-year Ph.D. study, with the guidance from my PHD mentor, I found that protein kinase C epsilon contributes to the aging mediated atrial fibrillation via a constitutively active acetylcholine activated inward rectifier potassium channel (IKACh). My PHD studies tremendously helped me with background buildup in electrophysiology. After my graduation, with the hope to learn more about molecular biology, I joined in Dr. Da-Zhi Wang lab in 2022 summer. I have been working on the cycline dependent kinase 13 (CDK13) project to study the role of cdk13 in congenital heart defect and cardiac development with the instructions from Dr. Wang.
