Dr. Mohd Rihan, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Ajit Magadum at the Center for Regenerative Medicine, Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida, Tampa. He earned his M.S. (Pharm) and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), India. His doctoral work focused on exploring the molecular mechanisms of myocardial infarction and cardiac hypertrophy using preclinical animal models and pharmacological interventions.

At USF, Dr. Rihan’s research centers on identifying novel therapeutic targets, signaling pathways, and cardiomyocyte-specific delivery systems aimed at promoting cardiac repair. His overarching goal is to advance regenerative strategies capable of repairing and restoring function in the damaged heart. His long-term vision is to contribute meaningfully to the development of next-generation therapies for cardiovascular diseases.
