Dr. Kunhua Song
Dr. Song received his bachelor's degree in biology from Fudan University in China in 1996 and Ph.D. in Genetics & Development from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2007. He completed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Eric Olson in cardiac biology. In 2013, Dr. Song joined the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado as an assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor in 2020. In 2023, Dr. Song joined the University of South Florida Heart Institute Center for Regenerative Medicine. Researchers in Song Lab focus on understanding signaling that regulates cardiovascular development and disease and exploring mechanism-driven novel therapeutics using induced human pluripotent stem cells and animal models of heart diseases.
