Healthy Minds Lab Awarded $10,000 Grant From the Love Lawrence IV Foundation to Support Suicide Prevention for Justice-Involved Youth

The Healthy Minds Lab at the University of South Florida is honored to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from the Love IV Lawrence Foundation through the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. This funding will directly support our "Addressing Suicide Risk among Justice-Involved Youth with Depression or Anxiety" initiative, a critical extension of our broader Oh-Kali project.

This project aims to reduce suicide risk and improve mental health outcomes among youth impacted by the justice system by providing trauma-informed, evidence-based, and community-driven resources. The grant will help expand our capacity to reach vulnerable youth through innovative digital tools, mental health screening, and community partnerships.

We are deeply grateful to Love IV Lawrence and the Community Foundation Tampa Bay for their support and commitment to advancing youth mental health and well-being in our region.
