His research interests include cardiac excitation-contraction/metabolism coupling, heart failure, sudden cardiac death, cardiac channelopathies, and cardiac mitochondrial biology. He mainly investigates the significance of adrenergic signaling in the heart and its regulation of cardiac ion channels/transporters, including mitochondrial ion channels, using cardiac cells/tissues. We actively collaborate with him, mainly on the multiple-PI R01 grant project to study the role of ER-mitochondria contact sites in right ventricular fibrosis (NIH/NHLBI R01HL1710, Contact PI: O-Uchi & Co-PI: Jhun)
