2026 Graduate Student in Medical Sciences at USF
Ms. Lily Slotabec earned a BS in Biology in 2022 and a BA in Psychology in 2023 from the University of South Florida. During her graduate studies in University of Mississippi Medical Center, she worked on various cardiovascular research projects that led to her first- and co-author publications. In January 2026, she joined our team as a research scientist and was working on several projects focused on the function and regulation of mitochondria mediated by stress-responsive protein kinases, such as PKD and c-Src, in cardiac pathophysiology. In August 2026, she resigned this position and joined the PhD Program in Medical Sciences at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.
