Dr. Vipin Kumar Verma joined our team as an Advanced Research Scientist in September 2026 and is involved in several cardiovascular research projects.

He earned his PhD from the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, India. Prior to joining our lab, he worked as a postdoc at the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) at the University of Utah, where he studied the structural and functional remodeling of microstructures (t-tubules) and proteins (RyR2 and JPH2) involved in calcium handling and excitation-contraction (EC) coupling in the healthy heart, the aging heart, and patients with end-stage heart failure. He also worked as a postdoc in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University, focusing on cardio-oncology projects, including proteins and signaling pathways that regulate cardiac injury, heart failure, and other cardiovascular complications.
