Nicholas David W Smith, PhD, ABPP

Nicholas David W. Smith is a licensed psychologist and assistant professor with joint appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and Pediatrics. 

 

Dr. Smith earned a PhD from the University of South Florida where he earned his PCIT therapist certification. He completed his clinical child/pediatric doctoral internship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Mailman Center for Child Development where he completed earned his Within Agency Trainer Certification. He serves as the Cochair of the PCIT International Communications Task Force. His research interests focuses on making PCIT feasible for children with chronic illnesses and health conditions. 

 

My favorite part about SUNCOAST is being able to train doctoral students and clinical trainees in this amazing intervention and being able to provide professional mentorship as they progress through graduate school, internship, and fellowship.
