As a postdoctoral researcher, I am immersed in cardiovascular research, utilizing advanced techniques to explore the intricate aspects of heart development and disease. Our lab uniquely combines human induced pluripotent stem cell-based platforms (hiPSC) with mouse models of cardiovascular disease, allowing us to bridge the gap between cellular mechanisms and in vivo pathology. I generate mouse models of cardiovascular diseases, including transverse aortic constriction (TAC) and myocardial infarction (MI). I'm eager to explore how to translate our findings from mouse models and hiPSC platforms into potential therapeutic strategies. The dynamic and innovative environment of Song Lab continually fuels my scientific curiosity. Outside the lab, I find balance and inspiration in time spent with my family, including my husband, daughter, and our beloved pets. This combination of cutting-edge research and personal fulfillment drives my commitment to advancing our understanding of heart health and disease.
