I am an assistant professor. I got my PhD degree at Fudan University in China and finished my postdoc training in Dr. Min Han’s group in University of Colorado at Boulder. Both my education and trainings in China as well as in USA have provided me with a deep understanding of Developmental Biology, Genetics, Stem cell biology, and Cardiology. In Song Lab, I have been working on multiple challenging cardiovascular research projects using human induced pluripotent stem cell and mouse models. I gained rich experience in CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, in vitro and in vivo disease models of cardiac dysfunction, high throughput drug screening, and 3D cell cultures. My current focus is to understand the pathogenesis of heart failure and design novel therapeutics.
