Sudha Swamynathan
Sudha Swamynathan graduated with a B.Sc. (agriculture) and M.Sc. (Crop Physiology) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, India. In India, Sudha worked as an Agricultural Officer for the state of Karnataka, and as a Scientist-B at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru. In the U.S.A., Sudha worked for pharmaceutical companies such as Aptus (2000-2002), Intronn (2002-2004), and MedImmune (2004-2007; Astra Zeneca) in drug discovery projects before joining the Swamynathan Lab in 2007 as Lab Manager. Sudha joined the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2023 as a Research Associate and Lab Manager.
Sudha invests most of her time towards the project on 'Ocular Surface Functions of SLURP1', while also contributing to other ongoing projects in the lab. In her free time, Sudha likes to garden, visit new places, and hike.
