Vishal Bharmauria
Dr. Bharmauria completed his doctorate from University of Montreal (2016) in visual neurophysiology working on neural connectomics, pharmacology and adult brain plasticity in the cat and mice visual cortices. He then completed post-doctoral training (2016-2020) at York University (York U) and then worked as Research Associate at York U. At York U, he worked on the 3-D gaze sensorimotor transformations and investigated the different reference frames (internal and external) that the frontal cortex employs to encode sensory experiences and then transform them into motor commands for action. Moreover, he has had brief stays as a visiting scientist at the Western University (Canada, 2020-21), the Philipp University of Marburg (Germany, 2018) and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (Canada, 2019-2020).
