The University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine has been ranked #1 in the nation for Medical Excellence, earning a perfect score of 100 from the Center for Accountability in Medicine’s newly released Medical Excellence Index. This distinction reflects USF’s unwavering commitment to merit-based admissions, academic freedom, and evidence-based learning, setting a new national benchmark for integrity and excellence in medical education.
Beyond this national recognition, USF’s impact is also being felt at the local level. Through an ongoing research partnership with Excite Medical, the success of the DRX9000 within USF’s Morsani College of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery has helped advance innovative, non-invasive solutions for low back pain. With the continued use of the DRX9000 and the recent arrival of the DRX9000-SL, USF and Excite Medical are working together to redefine the standard of care for low back pain, demonstrating how academic research can directly support a local business while delivering meaningful clinical advancements.
