Prevention of Chronic Low Back Pain
By collecting inertial motion unit (IMU), ultrasound, EEG, patient reported outcomes, and dynamometer data, the goal is to determine biomarkers of chronic low back pain.
Analyses include complex statistical modeling for force steadiness, time series, and time frequency.
Dynamic Investigator of Spine Characteristics (DISC) Simulator
Our custom-built DISC simulator allows for evaluation of spinal biomechanics for surgical devices, disc injury, and more!
Knee Biofeedback
This project is utilizing 3D motion capture and IMU data to bring injury prevention 'out of the laboratory' and 'onto the field.' Further, it uses complex machine learning algorithms to determine injury risk in real-time. From this algorithm, biofeedback can be sent to the user and inform them of 'good' versus 'bad' movements of the knee.
