Hanan Hamed, MS

• M.S. in Aging and Neuroscience (University of South Florida)

Investigates spine-related research, with a focus on the therapeutic effects of non-surgical spinal decompression (NSSD). Her research experience also includes examining how cognitive appraisal processes mediate the relationship between acute post-injury pain and 90-day disability, as well as using EEG to study targeted memory reactivation (TMR) during sleep to enhance cognitive and motor performance.
Her career interests are in healthcare and translational neuroscience, with a focus on integrating scientific research and clinical approaches to better understand how the nervous system influences real-world behavior. She plans to attend medical school.
Outside of research, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family, as well as participating in outdoor activities such as running.
