Madison Kagin
- B.A. Psychology, Neuroscience & Cognition - Florida Gulf Coast University
Madison Kagin is a research technician in the NeuBaC Lab at University of South Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience and cognition at Florida Gulf Coast University. Madison Kagin is motivated by the integration of neuroscience and human-centered research and plans to pursue graduate study to further contribute to evidence-based, collaborative scientific work. She supports neuromotor control and biomechanics research within the NeuBaC lab, assisting with participant coordination, multimodal data acquisition (EEG, EMG, DRX, motion capture), data preprocessing, advanced statistical data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Her passion for neuroscience is driven by a strong interest in understanding how brain activity translates into real-world behavior; movement, cognition, and functional performance over the lifespan. With a background in psychology focused on neuroscience and cognition, Madison is drawn to research that bridges neural mechanisms with observable outcomes.
Outside of research, Madison is a Mote Marine member and volunteers in her free time to support a future with a cleaner ocean. She has a background in classical ballet and spends her free time outside rollerblading or kayaking.
