Microbiome in Aging of Gut and Brain (MiaGB) Consortium (Biomarker Discovery)
About the project: The Microbiome in Aging Gut and Brain (MiaGB) is a multi-university collaborative consortium project, which is paving the way to determine the risk of age-related cognitive decline and dementia based on the microbiome of our oral cavity and gut.
- NeuBaC Lab Involvement:
- The NeuBaC Lab processes and analyzes the EEG data from this project. We have over 200 data sets and growing. We utilize software such as EEGLAB, MATLAB, and JMP Pro. We have published a manuscript for this project which can be found here: From Gut Microbiota to Brain Waves: The Potential of the Microbiome and EEG as Biomarkers for Cognitive Impairment
- More published work is on the way.
