(R.E.S.T.O.R.E) Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
Seeking volunteers with chronic low back pain for Research on Effectiveness of non-surgical Spinal decompression Therapy and Outcomes with Radiographic Evaluation (RESTORE) clinical trial
About the project: This study explores how helpful non-surgical spinal decompression (NSSD) can be as an additional treatment for long-term lower back pain (LBP). LBP is a common issue that causes problems for many people and society, especially in military groups. The research uses a double-blind, randomized proof-of-concept clinical trial, meaning neither the participants nor the researchers know who gets which treatment, to carefully test the biomechanical and physiological effects of NSSD. It will look for improvements in lower back stiffness, muscle function, the health of the discs between backbones, and the quality of back muscles. The goal is to provide a safer, non-surgical treatment option for managing chronic pain, helping service members, veterans, and civilians
